Publication timing

In this article, you will find detailed information about the distribution process of a release and how much time can take to get it published by the DSPS.

Distribution process

These are the basic steps of the distribution process:

  1. First, the end-user has to create the release from the platform.
  2. After the release creation and after introducing all necessary metadata, the distribution to the channels can be requested from tab 4 "Preview and Distribute" or tab 6 "Distribution".
  3. When the deliveries have been created in tab 5 "History", the release will be pending the Quality Control team's review and approval. If the content meets all the requirements, reflected in our Style Guide, it will be approved by our QC team and then delivered to the selected channels. More information about the QC Timing here.

End Users, as well as Admins, can always check the status of the distribution of a release by looking at the "History" tab of the release.

Publication of the DSPs

Once the content has been completely delivered to the selected DSPs, the timing for the publication will depend on each channel: If there are no issues with the DSP, it can take from 1 to 15 working days.

For this reason, we recommend making the distribution as early as possible, at least 15 days before the release date, to make sure the content will be published on the desired date.

Please note that the 1 to 15 working days period is extended during festive and holiday periods, meaning it can take more days for the publication. InterSpace will notify all its clients about any specific deadline communicated by the channels.

Why hasn't my release been published?

It can happen that, even if a delivery has been completed successfully in your platform, a release doesn't reach a DSP. In this case, we recommend you request a redelivery from the tab 6 "Distribution":

You will be able to follow up on the delivery status from tab 5 "History". You can find more information about this in the article Why my content has not been published?. If this doesn't solve the problem, please, contact general@interspacemusic.com and we will gladly check with our team.
